Privacy rights

Last updated 16 September 2026. The rights you may have over your information, and exactly how to exercise them with us.

Version 16 September 2026 — pending counsel review

This document was written to describe what InloveApp actually does and sells as of 16 September 2026, and it carries forward the product-neutral terms that NGOBSUNLLC published at inloveapp.com on 14 September 2026. It has not yet been reviewed by a qualified lawyer, and the rights and obligations that apply to you depend on where you live. Where mandatory local law gives you more than this document does, that law applies.

Your rights depend on where you live

Privacy laws in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, Brazil, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, Singapore, South Africa, Japan, South Korea, several US states and elsewhere give people rights over their personal information. The details differ, but the rights you may have include:

  • to be told how your information is used, which our Privacy Policy does;
  • to access the information we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • to have inaccurate information corrected;
  • to have information deleted;
  • to restrict or object to certain uses;
  • to receive information you provided in a portable format;
  • to withdraw consent you have given;
  • not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that has legal or similarly significant effects; and
  • to complain to a supervisory or regulatory authority.

Not every right exists in every country, and each is subject to conditions and exceptions. Where mandatory local law gives you more than this page describes, that law applies.

How to make a request

Sign in and open a support ticket from Settings. Choose the account category, say that it is a privacy request, and tell us which right you want to exercise. Requests are handled by a person. We will confirm the request comes from the account holder before acting on it, and we will respond within the time the law that applies to you requires, or otherwise as soon as we reasonably can.

There is not yet a public request form for people who cannot sign in. If you have lost access to your account, use the password reset link on the sign-in page first.

Closing your account and deleting your information

Account closure is currently handled by request rather than by a button in the app. When you ask us to close your account, we cancel any subscription if you ask us to, stop showing your profile to other members, prevent further sign-ins, and delete or anonymise your profile, photos, videos, preferences and activity within the period the law that applies to you requires.

Some records are kept after closure where the law allows or requires it: payment and refund records, moderation decisions and the reports about you or made by you, our staff audit trail, security records needed to prevent fraud or abuse, and messages you sent that other members have not deleted. Copies may also persist in backups for a limited period before they are overwritten. We do not use retained records for any other purpose.

Access and copies of your information

You can see most of your information in the app: your profile, preferences, matches, conversations, purchase history, credit balance and sessions. There is not yet a self-service download, so if you want a copy of your information, make a request as described above and we will provide it in a commonly used electronic format.

Correction

You can edit your profile, photos, preferences and safety contacts yourself at any time. To correct something you cannot change in the app, such as the email address on your account, make a request as described above.

Objection, restriction and withdrawing consent

You can withdraw consent for optional processing by removing the information or disconnecting the account concerned: delete a photo, empty a profile field, disconnect a connected music or social account, or remove a trusted contact. To object to or restrict a use of your information that you cannot control in the app, make a request as described above and tell us which use you object to and why.

Marketing and notifications

We do not currently send marketing emails. You can control which notifications you receive from the notification settings in the app; safety and moderation notices cannot be switched off because you need to see them.

Automated decisions

Our recommendations and moderation rules are automated, but no decision to suspend or ban an account is made without a person. You can appeal any moderation decision from your account and a different reviewer will look at it.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information or your request, please tell us first so that we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the data protection or consumer protection authority in the country where you live.
